“They had a chance to get George, but they thought the latter was too expensive. They didn’t want to make a deal and had already quit. They communicated with the Clippers and the Clippers offered the price they wanted, but George said, ‘I want a contract renewal,’ and Knicks refused and walked away.” Hahn said.
