Woj said the move made the eagle basically unload the contract of Collins with 78 million years left in the future, maintaining the flexibility of the lineup and the consistency with the upcoming wage cap changes.
Guy’s agent told that in order to make the deal a trip, his client carried out the player option of 23-24 season 6.4 million, and the deal could not be formally reached until July 6, local time.
Collins played for the eagle for 6 seasons, playing 364 games (313 starting), averaging 15.8 points 8.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists.
