Haynes said: “I communicate with Lillard very frequently, and he also agrees that he is facing a crossroads now. The Blazers have a 3-sign, and Lillard wants to win now. He wants to compete for the championship, and he doesn’t think keeping this 3 sign is helpful for the team to win at present.
“If I am Lillard, if the Blazers keep the No. 3 signature, whether they choose Henderson or any other rookie, I may choose to go my separate ways with the team.”
