Live Bar, June 8th recently, Pang Qingfang, a Chinese American player, was interviewed by The Hoop Post, an American media.
Q: compare the differences between playing games in China and the United States?
Pang Qingfang: I feel that in China, we pay more attention to team cooperation. In the United States, the competition is stronger and more intense. We have to play faster.
Q: What do you want to improve at Pangos All-American Camp?
Pang Qingfang: I want to improve my skills and do better what I can do on the court.
Q: Talk about the basketball atmosphere in New York, talk about the basketball match in New York, and give a score to the basketball atmosphere in New York? If it is 1 to 10 points.
Pang Qingfang: If I score 1 to 10 points, I will score 8 points. In New York, we are tough and others are tougher. Sometimes we talk rubbish on the court, but New York is a basketball city, and everyone loves basketball very much.
Q: Talk about the school that intends to recruit you at present?
Pang Qingfang: now there are University of Michigan, University of Oregon, Rutgers University and University of Missouri.
Q: Have you been to these schools?
Pang Qingfang: Yes, I have been to University of Michigan and University of Missouri.
Q: How do you feel about these schools?
Pang Qingfang: I’m glad they can admit me, which means a lot to me. University of Michigan is a great school for me.
Q: Talk about the coming season of your Christ the king. This is your last season. Let’s talk about your expectations, your situation with the team and how you will help your team?
Pang Qingfang: Our team lineup is great this year. We played a lot of good games and lost some games. Our original goal was to win the New York State Championship, but it didn’t come true in the end, I think it’s because we don’t play like a team, but the result is nothing. I still have one year left and I want to win the championship back.
Q: Let’s talk about the competition here (Pangos All-American Camp). You have been noticed by some NBA scouts and recruited by some first-class schools. Let’s talk about your experience?
Pang Qingfang: I am very excited! Entering NBA league has always been my dream. I will give everything for this dream. I have gained a lot in China, whether in the United States or in China.
