When asked if he believed Butler could be the best player in a championship team, Smith said, “No, I don’t believe it. Even if he recovers 100%, I don’t believe it, when we think of super stars, we can usually think of super high offensive output, but that is not Jimmy, but I am not saying that the team with Butler as the core cannot win the championship.”
Butler has played 20 games in the playoffs, with an average of 27.3 points, 6.6 rebounds and 5.9 assists.
