Live Bar, June 10th recently, O’Neal talked about Gary Peyton in The Big Podcast podcasting program.
O’Neal said: “We are old and I need a tough point guard. I brought him to the Lakers for the first time, but that didn’t work. We have a lot of things to deal with. Although we reached the finals, we did not win the championship.
“Later I called him. I wanted him to come to the heat. I said this time we would finish the work. He helped me win the fourth championship, and I am also very happy to help him win the first championship.”
Peyton and O’Neal worked with the Lakers and the heat and won the championship with the Heat in 2006.
